21 Day Hold
 

So, I know EB/PP are mysteries of the universe and there's no set-in-stone rules for what they decide/want to do...

But what are the criteria for them to remove the 21 day PP hold?
It really doesn't bother me too much, since the hold is really more like 1-week since I ship everything out with tracking within 24 hours, but it's still irritating that I STILL have the hold after:

• My account is over 7 months old (Oct 2013) - But only started selling around February (4 months total now)
  
• I've reached TOP RATED SELLER status this month. Yay.
  
• 100% Positive, 66 feedback total.
  
• Over 250 transactions, around $4k net.
  
• I received the SSN/EIN request last month due to (i assume) hitting 200+ sales and 3k net. They limited the PP last week, but I registered an LLC under business name, added on the EIN, and so far have been good.

I don't seem to recall them maintaining the 21-day hold this strenuously. I've had accounts which they remove the limit in like 3 months, 99% feedback and like 30 feedback, without top-rated seller.

Only thing I can think of is on this specific stealth account, I've been selling some higher-risk higher-value items (around $210 max per piece) but I mix in dozens of cheaper $8-9 no-risk items. But with zero customer complaints out of 250+ transactions you'd think I'd be good in their eyes...

You must be selling a lot of high risk items for them to still have a hold after 7 months.

Are you working on having and building multiple accounts so they will be ready to use by Christmas with possible increases in limits?

Maybe stick only to your lower priced items until the account matures and the holds are lifted and than start to sell the $250 high priced items after

7 months is a long time, usually 90 - 100 days they will be lifted

I'd go with a different set of items (cheap non branded) for 30 days and see if that breaks it loose...I've never ever had more than a 90 day hold on any of my 35 stealth accounts.

I wouldn't say I'm selling "a lot" of high risk items, since my net is currently only up to around $4000 in 7 months (technically 4 months of total selling, first 3 month's were inactive beyond some browsing - So roughly $1000 per month).

Oh well, really not the biggest issue, just strange is all.

I'll be getting 10 new accounts shortly now that I've got a pretty good grasp on running several at once, and the overall "system" of how quick/slow to sell.
Most likely will start building up accounts slower / more long term now, my initial few stealth accounts were "trials" to see how far I could push eBay before restrictions. Apparently not very far, lol.
