Paypal ask identify documents refer to Canadian law requireds
 

Who got the message from Paypal said that Canadian law requires that we confirm that you're the account holder. Please follow these steps to help us verify your identity.

You must submit an attestation from a commissioner of oaths or a guarantor attesting that they have seen your original, non-expired birth certificate, passport, provincial health card*, or driver's license. A guarantor must be a Canadian citizen and can be: a dentist, medical doctor, chiropractor, judge, magistrate, lawyer, notary (in Quebec), notary public, optometrist, pharmacist, professional accountant, professional engineer, or veterinarian. The attestation must be submitted on a legible copy of your identity document and must include:

1) The name, profession, and address of the attestor (commissioner of
oaths or guarantor).
2) The signature of the attestor.
3) The type and number of your identity document.

So how can I provide all of this to Paypal in my stealth account?? If I don't send to them, will they limited my account?

Before they never ask for identity document before is it new policy or they can detect with my stealth account? WHO know please help

How much money is coming in a day? Maybe you linked account to another one?

I just open new account no money coming yet. I had already change settled new window user name and change MAC IP on modem and change new IP address.

When I click verify back account completely then went to lift limit and they given I update personal information that is correct then I update they were correct but I skip to put SSN and click update the system said update information failed and ask for the documents as I mention as above. OR should I put SSN number?

@jenco, are you truly based in Canada? What IP are you using?

SSN is for US accounts...clarify what you mean....SIN?

Yes I am based in Canada and I use IP address within Canada same area with the address I have been register on Paypal. Yes, I mean social insurance number.

Hmm please state all the steps you do when making you PP.ca account - I have made many CA accounts and never get asked this right away...are you trying for something different? Business? Are you trying to use old bank account?

I am missing info to make an informed analysis

I have been register at Premium account and used different name, different address, new phone and new account number but under my real name (but PP cannot detect back account name?, they prefer at router number?. My suspended account IP address is 70.82.201.10 and 24.255.142.6 BUT this PP I used new PP is 24.255.174.119 but they are all the same ISP from Videotron Ltd.

So should I send them the documents? or if I open new stealth PP should I put SIN?

I changed IP address by went to change the last 2 digits of MAC IP address at my Dlink router

Please dont write the EXACT IP on this open forum - change it right away to XXXX.

Ah you went for Premium account - why dont you restart with Personal first...I prefer setting up with Personal and slowly building.

Go on IPburger.com and check the IP showing...is it the 70.XXXXX or 24.XXXX?

I checked on IPburger.com the IP address is not both IP suspended. now the IP is address is the last one I used to registered on PP.

So it means I should create new PP by start from Personal account then just update to premium account later and no need to put SIN?

How about this PP account just ignore the document they asking?

Are you using Videotron Cable for Net? I use that in Quebec - it is notorious for giving Static IP.

Now I looked up your 24.XXX IP address....that's an IP for Kansas City USA! That's why you are getting flagged RIGHT AWAY...you are trying to make a CA PP with US IP...time to redo stealth account

No, when I check my IP address 24.xxxx is pop up IP address in Quebec not USA

Hey guys,

I hope someone can give me advice.:confused:

Its in regards to the Paypal attestation.

I was asked to get a professional to confirm my ID.

I left out a letter in my name when registering on Paypal so that i could slip thru the cracks and get my account accepted.
It worked until now many years later.

The questions i have are the following:

I was wondering ,since i have the attestation with my drivers licence from a professional showing my full name,before i submit this info should i correct my name in Paypal?

If i correct my name, do i risk to get exposed and banned since maybe they have a system that will compare my name automatically to my old account and find variables such as address,postal code that match?

Or is it only when you sign up that the system will do these checks?
Maybe an employee will do the comparison ?

Of do i just leave my name with the letter missing and submit the info hoping they will just think that its a mistake from my part and consider i have been with them for years without a problem thus hopefully they just add the missing letter or ask my to do it?

Could they say just to piss me off that the account is not mine since my ID does not match the name on file ,just for one missing letter????

Sort of sounds a like "damn if you do and damn if you dont" situation.
