Can I reuse the same bank account of a closed Paypal?
 

I was wondering, lets say I close a Paypal account. Nothing suspended, everything is fine with it. Can I reuse this bank account to reopen a new one?

in for answers. I have a few PPs that are in good standing, yet the corresponding ebay account was suspended with MC999

I'm going to go ahead and assume NEW is always best. if you have a future suspension, you may not always know where your mistake was, so its best to exclude that as a possibility.

not sure if others have direct experience with this with experimentation and results... it would be nice if someone has and chimes in

you really should use new ones just to be safe..... BUT.... i have re-used them before over several accounts, but i dont recommend it.....

I did this experiment. So save your time

I had an eBay account go down with a perfectly fine paypal, I removed the bank account

3 months later created a new paypal /eBay stealth and added this account

Everything seemed good, passed the 90 days paypal holds lifted eBay limits 100/5000

What was an experiment started to be a nice account and than just when everything was good 5 months in selling was restricted and the email linked me directly to the eBay ID that was linked to the paypal with that bank account

So just because things seem to be working well they do catch up eventually

Did you remove the bank account information before closing the PayPal account? If not then you cannot use the same bank account. Either way I would use a new bank account number. Just tell the bank you suspect fraud and they will give you a new account number and close the old one.

Simply put: AVOID reusing any old information.

Many times, PP wont even let you reuse the bank account.

NO!, never reuse any account info, once a paypal or ebay goes to the wolves. It should never be reused!
