Does adding a new bank account cause problems? How long should a withdraw be Pending?
 

Hello again guys. Thanks a lot for all the help so far.

So an account I created a couple months ago, yesterday I logged into and changed the bank account simply because I wanted to switch from a checking to a savings account. Same bank (Bank of America). The replacement of the new account went fine without issues.

Then yesterday around 3:14 PM I made a withdrawal to the new account. I received the 'We're transferring money from PayPal to your bank' email.

Now typically I receive payments 2 days after my withdrawal request. For example, if I withdrawal on Monday, I have the funds Wednesday evening.

I never paid attention to the 'Status' part on PayPal, but its my understanding if no issues, it should switch from 'Pending' to 'Completed' in payPal relatively quickly.

We're now 23 (almost 24) hours from my withdrawal, and it still says 'Pending'.

Is something wrong? Is this too early? Did me adding a new bank account screw something up?

It usually stays pending for 24 hours before completed, like u said if you withdrawal 10pm Monday it will be pending until 10pm Tuesday , and than around 10pm Tuesdays it will switch to completed (24 hours) and Wednesday it will deposit to your bank

So 24 hours is the normal pending time , but sometimes on newer accounts the first couple withdrawals may stay pending for 48 hours, or in your case if u switched a bank account it may stay pending a little longer , but right now u are still in normal time

First tansfers to new bank accounts can be delayed in the system.

The other point is the time of day such a transfer was started. Most banks have a cut off time.
