Old paypal account with new ebay account?

I have an old paypal account I have had since 2001. Unfortunately it was the one I used with my ebay account got suspended. Is this paypal account now worthless? Any way I can use it with a newly created ebay account with out getting the new account suspended too?

I ****ing hate ebay & paypal!
