way to find hold cleared?
 

Sup everybody so i know that the Norm is after three months, fast shipping, tracking and all that good stuff your money holds clear.

But is there a way to check it on PayPal? Meaning does it say on your page somewhere or do you have to just wait till you sell something.

This is an account i don't use alot lately so nothing really selling on it now to check it. Thanks

As far as i know you can try verify it with documents and your limits will be removed. Never tried it so im not sure.

@Klemantina, it seems that OP just wants to know if there is a way to check if there are any hold still imposed on the cash coming in - doesnt seem to be about limits and document submission.

I dont have my PP up to check but I usually always note a yellow message above my transaction list which says something like "You have funds on hold until XXX etc."

Then that's a stupid question because anyway you need to sell something to make sure if your payments are still limited. Unless there is some kind of list that shows you how far you are from being unlimited and as far as i know such thing doesn't exist.

Thats correct rsot just wondering if there is a way to check if your hold has cleared even if you don't have money in the account. On my other accounts that have money in them waiting it says "pending" but couldn't find any yellow msg that you where talking about

Just in case im confusing any body I'm talking about the hold that clears usually after three months of selling

Yes there is.

When you go to list something on ebay.
On the submit page right above the blue button, it will either have 1 or 2 messages.

The first stating that the funds will be held

the other

that your item might not be available on ebay for up to 24 hours.

If you do not see the funds being held message, then the holds are off.

Did you verify your account with documents or you got no more holds just because you were patient?

I just waited the three months to let them clear themselves.

Guess it wasnt a stupid question after all, you still reading up on it huh :rolleyes:

@OP...

It's actually a good thing for Paypal to hold your money in the beginning. It's all about building trust between you and eBay/Paypal. Think of it as a barometer to see how well you're doing with your account.

After Paypal sees a trend where you are meeting their requirements, at some point (around 3 months as you point out), they will release funds immediately.

When PP does this, it tells me they have more trust in me and I can increase sales.

Be patient and know there will be some light at the end of the tunnel.
