Buying from walmart with paypal - transaction canceled.
 

I have been buying from walmart.com with my paypal for some time and haven't had a problem until now.

I get a message saying my walmart.com order has been canceled because "we were unable to verify some or all of your payment information."

I am buying using an unverified paypal. I am buying gift cards.

I have done this on other unverified accounts with no problem. I placed orders on 2 other unverified accounts the same day, and those shipped with no problems. 2 other accounts a few days before that, and 3 other ones a week or so before that. Many, many other unverified accounts used in the past - again, never a problem.

Anyone have any experience with this? Why is walmart being a pain on this one account? Does my account being unverified and what I am buying set a flag off with walmart? If so, why only this account? Have I been getting lucky this whole time with my other accounts?

Every transaction is unique so I wouldn't compare this one to any others you have done


But online purchases from these big stores have been getting harder to do, and it always would help to be using a verified account

Just add a VBA , if u just make purchases

What is the source for paying Walmart OP...from the funds in the pp? No holds on these funds?

The source is from my paypal funds. I have more than enough money in there to cover the purchase price. I guess i can add a vba. Sucks because the ebay acct that this paypal is attached to got suspended, i hate to waste a vba on it. And by the way, my walmart transactions got canceled on me BEFORE i got the ebay acct suspended.

do not push your luck with that. too many attempts will more than likely trigger a limitation.

its too risky.

I already tried twice… I'm too scared to try again. It sucks getting the walmart order canceled, but having my pp limited and my funds frozen would be worse.

Any idea why this happens?

This sometimes happens with walmart gift card order, especially e-gift cards. Have you tried to purchase other items? (I don't suggest trying again right away, not worth the limitation risk.)

I'm gonna let the account cool off a little before I try to purchase anything else.

A VBA is like 12$.

Surely you can afford that, if you have a hundred/grand in there.

I can, but I've already tried buying from walmart twice, I don't want to make a third walmart order and possibly risk my paypal being limited.

Then don't use your paypal for purchases.

I never do, just too risky. Is there a reason you can't just go to the walmart center and buy them in person with cash?

Saijin, they are using the Walmart thing to cash out their Paypals......Not exactly the best method but if it works, it works....eventually it's going to get burned or is starting to get burned.

dont see why it would get burned. its just shopping using your Paypl acct. nothing wrong with that...

Your not seeing the bigger picture, If Walmart starts to see that your buying "Gift Cards" on a consistent level then bells are going to ring and orders are going to be cancelled.

If Walmart and or any other store people use to cash-out get hip to the schemes, people will begin to flood the forum crying :tears: wanting to know how they can "get around" their issues.

If he is able to pay with funds in the pp, then they would have to be unheld? Right?

This is the natural tendency of things. I'm fine using this method as long as it works. If i consistently have my orders declined, i wont be wondering why. Just curious as to why on only this one account.

I'm pretty sure you know and understand how it works...BUT sometimes people are not well versed in these methods think it's an awesome idea but once they begin to see problems they begin to cry on how it's not working for them.....then they want us to fix the problem with a magical stealth wand!

You must not know paypal too well.

It creates issues with the company & paypal.

It can cause hassles with the account which lead to (permanent) limitation.

paypal plays mean games with its users.

You have the right idea. I often have to buy iPad's, return them for a gift card(or sometimes cash), and purchase a Visa gift card at Sam's Club through self checkout. Purchasing items works for me about 99% of the time. I sometimes push my luck and purchase egift cards directly through Walmart, and 90% of the time the order gets cancelled.
