aking | 08-13-2014 01:39 PM | Instant Payments on Paypal So I've been away from ebay and paypal for awhile.
What's the latest instant payments on paypal? Are they totally non existant these days? If I sell something for $2 do I have to wait 21 days still for my $2 to release?
Does Paypal still release funds once they see item delivery? |

| That's correct.
On all new accounts, your payment is on hold until PP can confirm delivery of item. The 21 day hold is the maximum time they will hold your payment prior to releasing payment.
At some point (approximately 90 days or so), this hold will be removed and you will receive instant payments.
From PP's site on 21 day hold... Quote:
When some sellers receive payments, we may hold the money in their pending balance for up to 21 days. We want to make sure that there are no problems with the orders, such as disputes, claims, returns, or chargebacks. After we determine that the order was fulfilled and the customer is satisfied, we may release the money earlier.
If we place your money in a pending balance, it belongs to you but isn't immediately available to spend or withdraw. The money may be released early if:
You ship directly using USPS, UPS, or FedEx, or pay for shipping and print labels on PayPal. Once we know that the item was delivered, we'll release the payment within 3 days, OR
You mark an order as shipped or processed. (This applies even if you don't provide tracking information through USPS, UPS, or FedEx or if the order does not require shipping.) We'll calculate the expected delivery date and release the payment within 7 days of that date, OR
You mark the item as processed and we know that the buyer has received it and is happy with the item. We'll release the payment within 7 days.

aking | 08-13-2014 08:49 PM | Re: Instant Payments on Paypal so after an account is 90 days old, the holds automatically go away? |
bjammin | 08-13-2014 09:04 PM | Re: Instant Payments on Paypal You can start getting instant payments around 90 days. I think that is also if you have had around $250 in sales also.. But similar to what is mentioned above, if I sell a lot on an account, usually after 90 days I have no holds on my PP any longer. |
SaiJin | 08-13-2014 10:39 PM | Re: Instant Payments on Paypal THe hold does go away after 30-90 days, but there are instances where the hold will come back even 1 year after having the account.
WHen it does come back, it'll usually go away from 2 weeks - 3 months. |
sovietboyvx | 08-13-2014 11:18 PM | Re: Instant Payments on Paypal There is a possible way that you receive payments instant on new stealths. I do it all the time. |

SaiJin | 08-14-2014 09:21 AM | Re: Instant Payments on Paypal Frankly, I'm so tired of people trying to circumvent the system all the time. Just causes a lot more problems in the end for everyone else. |

Because not one of mine ever had a hold on a non eBay transaction
The reason they are getting holds is because the transactions they are doing are not non eBay , even if they think they are manipulating the system they are still eBay transactions |

Re: Instant Payments on Paypal I suppose it all depends on how old our PayPal accounts are. I have certainly had holds on off eBay purchases before, on new accounts as I recall |
Re: Instant Payments on Paypal Holds can be re-applied to accounts by the way - this has happened |
SaiJin | 08-14-2014 03:44 PM | Re: Instant Payments on Paypal Yep, I don't have any holds on incoming non-ebay payments and the funds coming in are 10x more than what I usually get in from eBay per transaction. |
aking | 08-18-2014 10:34 AM | Re: Instant Payments on Paypal I should have stated that I am talking particularly for ebay transaction payment. |
SaiJin | 08-18-2014 10:49 AM | Re: Instant Payments on Paypal Yes, the 21 day period hold is still there.
And it'll get released either after tracking showed delivered or buyer leaves positive feedback. Most of the time after "delivered" status. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:28 AM. | |
