NO MORE PAYPAL CLASSIC !! anyone else?
 

so it appears for the last day or so they are forcing the home page to the beta site.

I really dont care for it and I can switch to classic site in the bottom left corner, BUT it does not stay that way now.

anyone else not care for this? any work around? I have already played with the settings but as of the last 48 hours can not get Classic view to stay,

as of 2 days ago my paypal was fine but I hope they dont keep this whack view. the classic view was so so nice.

thanks but I would rather not call anyone. have not had to talk to paypal or ebay for nearly a year and this is not a big deal just annoying.

I kind of like it. I figured that there is no more 500 dollar withdrawal limit anymore because the first sale you need a credit card for the shipping. So it verifies thru there. Also, if you want to look at past transactions and need to refund someone from like a month and a half ago, it automatically refreshes for you as you scroll down whereas the classic site, you had to click through more links to get that done, next page etc etc

While I don't personally like the new skin, but if we always followed this philospohy, Paypal would still look like this:

Websites change to adapt to new technologies and userbase. While it might be confusing at first for those who are used to the older layouts, but you too will eventually get used to it.

The new paypal site looks like its designed for children.

Its probably designed for ease of use for mobiles and tablets.

Well I like the classic design because all the tools I use are in the front page and they are very easy to see.

The new design feels like they dumb it down and a lot of the tools are relocated.

I agree. I HATE IT that just about every website I use feels the need to change everything every 2 years or so. Minor changes are one thing. And certainly, there comes a time when things should be re-designed and updated, but NOT every 2 years.

Same thing goes for software. A few years ago, Microsoft changed Excel and put everything under different menus. I actually had to TAKE A CLASS to continue using a program that I had been using for ten f***ing years!!!

Don't even get me started on Windows 8!

I'm sick of terms like "disruptive innovation" - to me, all that means is I have to put more effort into getting something done than I had to before. If its not broke, don't fix it!!!

Edited to add: I think that is partially a function of the culture of IT. In my experience, many (not ALL, but MANY) folks in IT see users as a nuisance that have to be managed. But the fact is, we need IT departments that are responsive to the needs of the users, NOT users that are responsive to the needs and wants of the IT department!

Jeff, do you know if you can relocate all those tools like MOS, Withdraw, etc to the front page for easier access?

Seems like all mine are still in Classic mode.

No clue. The re-design is not THAT big of a deal. I'm just tired of having to re-learn everything all of the time. That and the jerks who want me to change my passwords every 90 days. And they want you to use upper AND lower case letters PLUS numbers and at least one SYMBOL. They don't want you to write it down and they expect you to remember the password. YEAH, RIGHT! Them and the 900 OTHER websites I'm on! SURE!!!

i could not find the instant confirm for bank anymore in the new layout.
do they only have 2-3 days confirm from now on?
any idea?

you can still instantly confirm. I think I found it under wallet. As for the $500 withdraw thing. you can still bypass that as well with credit card right at the beginning. there is a link at the bottom that says see how much i can send I believe which links back to that
