Hi guys, I have a account where I sell items at less than £5 each, so eBay have extended my selling abilities, so I have 3 accounts but started using this as a main account, this might have been a mistake as they now want me to prove who I am,

30 Aug 2014: You have received £1,650 or more in total payments to your PayPal account in this calendar year and are therefore approaching our annual receiving limit of £1,900. PayPal is required by law to comply with European Union Anti-Money Laundering regulations by collecting information from customers when they receive more than £1,900 in total payments within a calendar year. Please go to the Resolution Centre for more information on what you need to do.



To resolve this I need "confirm your user identity"


Ie address dob ect

Is there anyway to do this or shelf the account till next year?

You have gone over the £1650 limit with automatically triggers the request for ID before you hit £1900.

Account cannot be put on hold, the ID now needs to be supplied for the account.

Next time:

- Prepare your ID right after starting the account;
- Or be sure to sale < £1600 in order to be fine and cooldown that account till Jan 1 of the next year;
- Spread over multiple accs.

It is an EU limit.

Only applies to PP accounts based in EU countries.

thanks for all the advice, Only took me half hour cos i had documents from another account, but noted, have docs ready before hand :)

You'll provide them the same docs as you have already provided to them few months (or years) ago from "another account" (banned/or still an active one) o,O? Or?

When they check the numbers on your ID, they'll see that it's already on their database (and used on another account that have problems, maybe banned), so therefore you'll be linked. Avoid this.

Worth noting that the reset date is not the 1st Jan each year.

The reset date will be 1 year after you received your first payment into the PP account.

Ex - First payment into the PP account was on the 04/03/2014 the reset date will be 05/03/2015 not 01/01/2015 (dates are in UK format)

not since the first payment is received
I remember when Abrias before a paypal account
they said you had all the limits
limit for receipt of money
annual limit of sending money
..............
and other things that do not appear now

It is since the first payment is received
before the city could be seen in the classical reception paypal
but now in the new paypal is no longer possible
I have an account that has left 134 days to send the documents because of this

according to my calculations thought that had not reached the limit
but I received the message exceed 1800 euros
