I've been thinking can paypal ever contact the bank that will be issued under the stealth paypal give the representative the last 4 digits that appear and receive the personal information? If they believe it is fraud?

Basically since the last 4 digits appear on paypal when you go to your wallet page. Can they ever make a simple phone call to the bank tell the representative they need such and such information for the last 4 digit for 1234 lets say. 1234 is representing as the last 4 of account number.

If I tend to sell sneakers, but if I ever encounter a problem where the buyer will say the pairs I got are ⊗⊗⊗⊗, then ends up opening a claim and winning it, then I get a complete different item.. and PayPal refunds the buyer, which leads me to a negative balance. If it takes me a while to bring it back to positive can they contact the bank?

Not really going to cheat. But till my next sale to make it positive again ; the time will vary depending if I get buyers. But I just don't want nothing to happen if they ever do call the bank.

Banks in the US are very good about not giving out your personal information. However, there are exceptions to this. If a court issues a subpoena, the bank must comply and give them what they ask for. If eBay/PayPal suspects fraud, they could contact your bank. How much information would be shared depends on the circumstances. I am not an expert in this, but I know that there ARE rules they follow in those situations. And law enforcement can usually get whatever they want as long as they tell your bank the information is needed for an open investigation.

So, you are pretty well protected from eBay/PayPal or other private companies. If you have an open matter in court, you will most likely know about it. And if law enforcement is looking that closely at you, well... you should probably not be doing whatever it is you are doing.

Thanks for the answer! But in my case I don't think law enforcement is really watching me of what I am doing. Just don't want fraud happening.

What you need to do is try to never let your account go negative.

This is when a spiral of troubles happen.

You have to be very careful with your items & what sort of buyer you have.

Please try to understand this.
