Does paypal still see IP address?
 

Hello,

1) If my paypal is limited/banned already. My brother uses my computer and internet to use his paypal. Will my brother's paypal be at risk to be limited/banned or linked to my paypal account?

2) I was also wondering if lets say a shared office/office has 50 people sharing the internet (I think they should be the same IP), all of them use paypal frequently, and 1 of them have their paypal banned/limited. The other 49 person who are also using the same office will be linked to the limited/banned person and will be at risk of being banned by paypal?

Your brother account is for sure linked to your and at risk. Probably flagged already.
You shared the same PC (different user account or not?) same address and probably have shared the same IP...

IP only is not a big link... it is a link tho.
EB/PP knows that big companies share the same IP but, for example, do not share the same cookies and personal infos... that would be a major link.

1 - Brothers account is linked.

2 - They would all be linked, but this may not lead to suspension. It is easily explainable to PayPal

Does it mean that using different user account in the same PC would be safe? Not sure if my brother uses guest account or my account. From your answers it seems people sharing same IP would be ok so IP is not the main criteria of risk getting linked/flagged with banned accounts.

I did not say "sharing the same IP is ok"... it is a link and links shall be avoided.

They will probably not suspend your account just for one IP link but if other details matches (surname, address user account) both are tight linked...

Get yourself the stealth guide and read it twice. You will better understand how things works in this ebaypaypall world.

It doesnt work like that...

There needs to be more than one link, and IP isnt as big a deal as you think.

1 - your brother will be fine, but if it looks like your using his account, on your computer/ selling items you were banned for, basically if it looks like its you again, your brothers account will be banned, otherwise it will remain active.

i know of many people who have had some members suspended in their household whilst others actively use paypal/ebay.

2 - coming back to my point, ip in this case isnt a big deal, because ebay will probably class this ip as a shared ip, nowadays people use their ebay account when out and about, on 3G, 4G (LTE), WiFi hotspot etc... so there really needs to be more than one thing to trigger it off.
