looking for one that doesn't have any monthly fees. just wanting to get my new Paypal Account linked with a bank account. |
Re: adding bank account to paypal Not too sure about US accounts, but have you maybe considered opening a sub account, maybe a savings account with a bank you already bank with? Their usually simpler, easier, quicker and you get access pretty instantly. I would say login to your online banking and see if options appear. |
plumsake2 | 09-27-2014 06:07 PM | Re: adding bank account to paypal All of the big major banks allow you to open accounts online and have access to it instantly, but I believe that's only for sub-accounts. Without monthly fees is a different story though.
If you are a student, you have plenty of options. (Though usually the account wouldn't open instantly)
Do you have a family member who was in the military? USAA comes to mind. Otherwise I would follow Play's advice. A savings account at a bank you already do business with can be opened online instantly and the monthly fees would be around $5, compared to $10+ for checking accounts. |
bluestraps | 10-08-2014 01:08 PM | Re: adding bank account to paypal I have mine thru PNC. Student account , Virtual wallet, other wise you have to have 500 minimum balance to keep account . Ive looked at all the big banks that might work. "Chase" bank is the cheapest as far as fees per month. All other companies have fees associated. If your a student , and in the age frame for that bank , you can usualy get a totally free account in most cases. or a reduced fee. |

And sometimes you'll have problems withdrawing money to Ally with mismatched names, sometimes you won't.
Additionally, if Ally suspects you are conducting "business activity" on your accounts, they will shut you down.
All are reasons to avoid Ally, especially when there are many other banks in the US to choose from. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:44 AM. | |
