Can PayPal link with old account if business name the same as name?
 

Hey Aspkin,

Can PayPal link my new stealth account to my old account? I created a new stealth account but the business name on my new one is the exact same First and Last name on my old limited account. My name is not even a common name well only the last name "Sims". Everything else is completely different. I also have made a few stealth accounts in the past with that same name but never used it as my business name. Can PayPal link me to the other accounts if I start receiving money and withdrawing?

The generic answer would be yes. But some more info would help out, if you will.

If we are talking about PP, then was it opened as a business account or a personal account?

If business account, is there an EIN or a SSN attached to both? If yes, and both accounts share the same SSN/EIN, then it is linked. If it was a business account, then a lil more needs to be discussed.

If personal and no SSN is attached, then it really still depends on a variety of factors.
Same name
Same address
Same phone number
Same email account
Same bank account number (routing number is irrelevant)
Same CC
Same IP address
Same computer user account

All these can be things that will link you.
All these will also apply to a business account as well.

Yes just placed my order for a stealth book :)

The only thing that my new account and old account share is that my Business name on my new account is the same name as my old account. Not the same business name.

For Example.

New Account: Business Name( NOT CONTACT NAME) is Vonariessd Moore
Old Account: Legal First and Last Name is Vonariessd Moore with a different business name.

I used my brand new cell phone with my data for my new account. Different address, email, bank, card etc.

I believe that should be fine really....BUT I am not 100% positive. In theory, I believe you are good.
