21 day hold for invoices/payments?
 

This hasn't happend to me before. Why is Paypal holding invoice payments/direct payments for 21 days?

I'm trying to receive payment for a service I already done, how can I get a payment instantly?

If you are referring to an off ebay transaction, then holds can apply to even those.

Explain more about the age of the account etc.

It's a new Canadian Paypal account with VCC attached but no bank.

There's your answer.

Account is flagged as paypal prefers a bank account to be attached.

Safety issue for them.

Add a bank account for the solution.

Weird, I was told that canadian paypals you don't need to verify to receive money without a 21 day hold...

That's incorrect info. Canadian PP is not any easier to work with...still should verify and operate well.

Time to redo.

I've noticed this "new" thing too... but did you know that if you (or the reciever) goes into the account details, you can click something that says the service was rendered, then they can go into the details and click something that says that they recieved said service, and I'm not sure if you go in again or not... but this CAN be released within a day or so if both parties are responsive. You have to log into your PP account and actually open up the transaction details. This has worked for me a few times, on payments that were specifically designated as a "service".

True - for service type payments - not really for the goods category

I have a newish PP fully verified with these same off-eBay payment holds

Paypal are really clamping down on these transactions.


Trying to protect themselves unless they 'trust' the account.


Think about all the people doing these as workarounds.

Paypal will monitor that closely. Fraudsters will be weeded out.
