So as of October 2014, is Ally a good bank to use to verify a PayPal?

Paypal is pretty bipolar with Ally.. some days it works fine, some days adding it gets you a limitation.

If you're just trying to verify the account, you can buy a VBA here from the marketplace. Or if you want a real bank to withdraw to, open an account at one of the big banks.

Ally is NOT safe to use with paypal.
Why bother with a bank known to cause problems?
Youre already going out to open a bank account then open it with a bank which is a good choice for stealth. Bank of America or any number of other banks are a far better solution.

Trust me as greenBean can vouch for me stay away from ally bank specially if you're goin to try to withdraw money from them
