When officially registering as a business, the whole idea is to become "legit", so you want to leave any stealth name that you have at the door. You are (or will be) dealing with the IRS here (taxes), so you need to use real info, including a real business name (you can make up anything, just as long as no one in the state you're registering in has that exact same name) and a real address you have access to. The business name on the EIN application must match what you enter on your Paypal account, so be careful with punctuation - the IRS doesn't allow certain characters, so it's best to get the EIN from the IRS first so you'll know whether or not it will be accepted. |
