Adding a bank already used by Paypal
 

Ok so I was checking through my bank accounts to see which ones I haven't used with Paypal. I found one that I thought I hadn't used, but when I added it told me it couldn't be added which means I did use it.

I dont care too much about this PP account, but do you think better to try adding another bank, or create new account with new bank? . Chance that i could lose another bank if I re add another. Then again I remember that I reused a card that was linked to another account, i couldn't add it but it caused no problems on the account.

Wondering if people had similar experiences

If it just told you that the bank account cannot be added at this time then it is possible that you have not used it. Lots of issues the last few months with bank accounts being added to PayPal. Sometimes it requires phoning PayPal to get it manually added

Ok I hope that is the case, i have checked my online banking for this account and there is nothing linked to PP, not sure if there is some case where i could of associated it with Paypal but nothing showed for some reason

In which case give it another 24 hours and try to add again. If it still cannot add then give them a ring

This is not a Halifax by any chance is it?

You can just ring PayPal using your landline but make sure you use 141 to hide your number.

Found another thread on here that says waiting a few days and then trying again may work

found out that i added the wrong account and it was imdeed a dirty account. i will ditch this account now, or sell on it without a bank to see how it fares
