72 hours+ Still pending?
 

I have used Paypal for quite some time, in this past couple of months my withdrawals to my bank account have gone from instant to taking up to 72 hours.

Anyway Wednesday sold an item, buyer paid, I withdrew, I got the old 72 hour email which would take it to 7pm yesterday, 7pm came and went no money, Phoned Paypal again, got told it could be another hour or so but I will get my money. They close at 9pm so I phoned at 8.45 as again no money, I got told this time "Rest assured you will have the money over night, when you wake in the morning the money will be in your account" Checked this morning no money, so I phone again. "Oh we are sorry, there is a problem at our end, all withdrawals have to be done manually and it will be another 72 hours" Totally unbelievable, is this more lies from Paypal? Is anyone else having issues?

That sounds like they are MAY be reviewing your account.

This is NOT normal. Items you sold, are they risky?

How much you processed through this account and how old is it?

Definatly sounds like something is up.

To be 100% honest though....

I used to bank with US Bank and I found them to have extremely slow processing times.
I never understood it.

I had this happen to me many times with them. BUT, if you don't have your money in your account by say 630 a.m tomorrow morning...it MOST likely won't be.

hi guys can you help i sent funds it said 72 hours i have my partners savings account hooked up to my paypal no issues until now and it says payment reversed back to paypal ? bare in mind my partner his suspended off ebay whats your thoughts his it just a banking glitch and i may need to change the banking details

Just to update, still no money, and Paypal don't know when it will be in my account. Seems everyone is effected going by there community forum

There is a technical issue at the moment. It wasn't long ago they had a massive failure with the faster payment withdrawals and processed thousands of withdrawals through bacs was it.

I suspect the withdrawal will fail eventually fail and the funds will return to your paypal account. You will then be able to withdraw again.

Try smaller amounts to avoid the 72 hour period, also try not withdrawing instantly after receiving payment.

Even my brand new accounts nowadays even the first withdrawal goes through in 2 hours (instantly) due to the way I run my accounts.

There is another widespread glitch. Community out there in ebay/paypal land is talking about it.

This is just a technical problem. Contact PayPal to get the funds reversed and then you will be able to withdraw again. Go with small amount this time and the fund will be available within 2 hours.
