Hi everyone.

I just awoke a old a ebay/paypal account. I already made a sale and I suppose I'm not entirely surprised I'm not getting the privilege to withdraw my own money from Paypal. Saw and read a thread pertaining to this same issue BUT my question is I'm about to head out and by a tracfone...

Will this cause any issues as my stealth address is from a different state originally? I moved recently and hadn't had a chance to update paypals address on file, silly mistake I know.

I know this is caused due to
1) little to no cookies
2) trying to withdraw 200$ which is out of character for account...

Basically just want to make sure if this tracfone I use won't limit my account because the area code is from a completely different state.

(first time EVER re awakening a sleeping giant)...

No working phone number or right address on account.

Amount of this out of the blue transaction was big.

High chance of soft limitation at the very least.

I would call paypal all excited but feeling silly about using the paypal.

Anyways...

So you would recommend this and not just buying a new tracfone to verify myself with a real phone number? I can't withdraw/send money as I need to "verify myself with call/text/database questions" ...what I was GOING to do was head to the store buy a tracfone, activate it, update the number in paypal and ..well hopefully bypass that soft limit.

Just reindrating what I had said. I hate calling paypal but will if thats what YOU recommend is the best solution I'll humbly accept it :)

I can not be sure that adding the phone will work.

This has been a repeated issue for others.

I was suggesting options.

You should do what you are most comfortable doing.

Tried tracfone, didn't work. Probably out of a million, 100 might go through out of the blue.

Well if I call and don't try to verify via tracfone they will just be like "why didn't you just verify yourself via phone number?" ...from their perspective its a valid question. If I wasn't "stealth" a simply phone verification should usually be super easy to pass.

If it doesn't work I'll use GreenBeans advice. 2 heads are better than one :thumb:

Question does getting a Skype number work?? I just bought a tracfone (9.99) and just waiting for activation to complete. Anybody use Skype for verification with paypal?

whenever I have called about this issue they have never questioned why I wasnt able to complete the verification steps.

For everyone experiencing this issue I have advice that may help!

Lets start off with I did get the soft limit removed by calling Paypal :cheer:

I went to the store and bought a tracfone, linked it with my paypal (getting the pin number to verify it) and went to withdraw, tried to verify by telephone (fail), then I tried to verify by text, still no good. Obviously I can't answer the database questions but this is were it gets juicy...

I highly recommend against doing this but hey it does work if you know what your doing. I called eBay before all this to get my limit increased. Now I had called with a account 7 months aged with still the 10/1000 limit. The lady I had spoke with was American and was "more than happy to increase my limit" but needed to VERIFY me by asking DATABASE questions. Fine. I kept calm and carried on..lol

Now when this problem arising NEVER hang up immediately, if you need to hang up make up an excuse, if you don't they can limit you for not answering the questions (its happened to me before). Ok so I went threw the process and answered no to all the questions. I repeated this frequently threw out the conversation that I have been living at this address for roughly 4-5 months. Same thing for my "previous" address. I am a young kid that just moved out his parents house and "jumping" around apartments. It is believable if you sound confident in your responses.

Now this doesn't work if you get a bad rep, you must go off your gut. She increased my limits to 20/1000. Now I say this because when I called paypal they said I needed to go threw the same procedure. Again I remained calm and told them I did this with eBay already and unfortently I'm not in the database system as of yet. I called from my tracfone and ran out of minutes so I lost connections with the first rep I spoke with..:mad2:

Called back and the 2nd rep told me when this occurs go to (www.paypal.com/wdfunds) ...now that DID NOT work for me but could work for others, who knows. The third rep I spoke with said there should be nothing wrong with my account and you should be able to withdraw without any issues. Strange enough after I hung up this was the case?

The point of this LONG post is you really have to believe what your saying is true. You almost have to trick yourself at that moment that your who your "stealth name" is. Seinfeld anyone???

I don't know what you guys talking about with tracfone. Have bought over 5 tracfones and none have worked with paypal call.

Did you read my post? I said the tracfone DIDNT work? It was my first time using the tracfone. I know in the past it was the go to phone for stealth, clearly not anymore. :noidea:

Did you register your tracfone on line with the email, name and address matching the account you are using it for? Happened to me once, trying to withdraw, had to verify identity, wouldn't go thru, then realized I hadn't registered the phone, went on line and did it, verified then with no issue. Now I always do that, no problems at all anymore.............

tracfone still works for 100 percent verification and can still get text call for 100 percent status sometimes it take several phone and numbers....

NOW REGARDING THE MESSAGE YOU ARE GETTING yes its asking for a call/text but that is not the issue.

many threads on this and I got mine fixed for WITHDRAWING without having to call/text that aint the issue or solution.

do some reading and even if you do get the call text on a phone and it works it can come back to bite you again and again,

there is a fix for this. device not recognized issue and it isnt in the phone

take a step back and read what I wrote the problem you are having is another issue altogether.

their has been a recent issue with pp and this matter.

and yes tracfone still works. just recently used it.

if you are having with a paypal account it is most likely a browser setup issue that is triggering the pp w/d verify identity crap.

not gonna argue with u
trying to help you here as I fixed alot of peoples problem.

Just received this security check brickwall this morning when trying to even add a bank account on a account that is already supposed to be in the clear.

Added and confirmed another cell number, now when I try to add a bank account, the page just lags. Maybe something happened to my browser cookies, but meh.. Will wait it out and then try again.

Called up Paypal and they said it's just an automated system thing and they can't do anything about it manually. Wonder what's going on.

EDIT: Just received the same notice on all accounts I tried to add a VBA on..
