Can you change banks on your Paypal account if.....
 

Can you change the bank account on your Paypal account if you currently have funds on that paypal account?

Im curious to know because I have never tryed it before and need to know.

Of course.

But you will not be able to delete that bank account.

What I do is add another bank account and leave the other one on file. ( For a certain time).

I just did this same thing last night. I usually wait to delete VBA but this time tried to do it immediately :doh:

Just wait a little while and then delete. No harm in waiting.

So there is harm in deleting your first bank that you added onto paypal.

Why do you wait a certain time?

Is it bad aswell to have 2 banks on your paypal account?

I would think that paypal would like to have 2 bank accounts of you on file.

Also what does deleting the old bank account do for you other than make your paypal account look all pretty and organized and up to date?

No theres nothing wrong with having two bank accounts on your paypal account.
I see no point in deleting the first bank account. Its not like you can use it elsewhere anyway and its not like it causes any damage to leave it on there.
Way I see it it can only have a negative impact - no matter how low the probability.

This is copied from paypal usa.....

. You can add more email addresses, debit or credit cards, and bank accounts to your account, but each account must have its own email address and financial information. You can also upgrade your Consumer account to a Business account.

It's allowed to have more than one bank account on a paypal so long as the above criteria are met.

With the amount of reported glitches from paypal, I never remove a bank account to prevent having issues. Look over the forum where users have hassles with phone calls etc. I just add a bank account & where needed make that the primary. I confirm all accounts.

I just take extra steps to withdraw to the account I want to use.

I am not talking about VBAs but regular accounts.

I'll also usually just keep any bank accounts I have added on, while adding another, it doesn't hurt keeping the account on and it's less disruptive to paypal if you just add a new account and delete the other right away

I also always take my bank accounts off the pre approved payments list after adding them , it's right in settings

This way I'm never automatically charged for anything from paypal or eBay from my Bank account, they just go to your CC on file

Why would having a second bank account on a paypal account have a negative impact?

I personally would think that paypal would love for you to have a second bank account of you so they could try to charge it if they had to for someone not paying their fees.

No.... Deleting a bank off your PP can cause a bunch of crap leave it on there and just add another account to it when you with draw it will offer you the choice of the two accounts to deposit..
On one account I have both my wife and my account added to pp so I can drop money in either one . This is a legit account with no risk items only sold OTHERWISE this is a BAD idea linking 2 accounts together
