Another first with Paypal. Stealth doomed?

Well, I just made a new stealth business account. Immediately after making it, I got that red triangle or exclamation point or whatever it is at the top right of the web page. This normally indicates payments are on hold or your account is limited. It said something along the lines of you are free to withdraw the first $100 you receive every month. Anything over will be placed in a 21 day pending balance, unless I update my information. I also got an email stating that he same thing along with "we were unable to confirm your name, address and phone number, please update and try again." Anyone see this one yet?

I think that certain Ip address are flagged as high risk. When I try making a new paypal account from the library, they ask for copy of DL and Social.

Public IP addresses should be avoided like the plague. So should any VPS or VPN providers that are large and well-known, as well as all of the $5 per month wonders. Most of them are HIGHLY OVERUSED and eBay/Amazon/PayPal know about them and have their IP address ranges.

I have never been a fan of these services and have also avoided anything FREE like the plague, such as Google Voice. The problem is, too many people use them and they are quickly flagged as potentially problematic. Aside from gmail, which has a level of respectability associated with it, I also avoid any free email addresses such as Hotmail and even Yahoo.

It is worth a little bit extra to me to use services I know are not attracting hundreds of people trying stealth for the first time. It costs a little bit more, but the longevity of the accounts makes it worthwhile.

I don't know why I had the idea you were using a public wireless connection???

The address you used, does it exist and is it residential or commercial?

May I ask the name of the hotspot provider?

That is a risk.

Why are you not using your own dongle or tethering?

You really need to know that no one else has used the IP & had it flagged within paypal.

To give you an example, there is a certain company in California that offers VPS to customers. A high % of them are from Asia. A higher % of those end up with suspended accounts.

It is better to be as 'normal' as possible. Do consider a better means of internet access.

What's wrong with hot spots? They are the same thing as using your phone to tether and a dongle.

I use T mobile and never had an issue, maybe it's something else in your account setup, t mobile has a small IP pool but as long as you log each one before using than you should be good
