Very interesting. Never heard of anything like that before.
Question - did you log into your paypal account to actually see these funds? Just make sure its no phishing scam cause I can spot several spelling mistakes in that message you quoted.

That'd be cool if they gave every "new" paypal account a credit of like 5-10 dollars. Never will happen but would be awesome if they did it as a promotion or something.

The only present most people have got from PayPal is a permanent limitation and 180 day hold on their funds.

And now as a christmas promotion they are offering the need to submit documents after people have waited 180 days!

Paypal, what a festive bunch.

Used to be that when you rang in on the same day, let the call connect, hang up and would get a £10 voucher emailed to you.

Suprise , suprise
I just received a phone call from PP today , (before taking the call I thought it must be about dispute or limitations lol ) . Unfortunately , they asked me about how my experience with PP and wish me a great Christmas ahead .

And what more amazing is , I got another 10$ bonus as Christmas gift . Now it's weird :))

During certain years of the recession paypal seemed a lot more 'lenient' than it did the years before hand when they were strict nazi assholes. Nowadays a lot of new solutions are popping up that should have these paypal assholes shaking in their boots once again, and more willing to retain non-whitehat clients.
