TIN does not match IRS records. FIXED!!!
 

Last month i posted about paypal threating to close my account as the name on my EIN number i provide to paypal did not match my real name. Of course paypal account was all stealth info. Long story short my lack of research in this area came to bite me in the a$$. I was able to fix all problems with irs/paypal matching information by one simple step. Create an llc. Again i know this has been posted many times within the forum to start stealths accounts as llcs. I guess the point of this post is that if your account gets the TIN does not match irs records message it can still be salvaged. I would like to give a HUGGGGEEEEEEE shout out to JEFFWCICO who took the time via PM to help me figure out a solution to this mess. I was able to save a top rated seller ebay account with 1000+ feedback and a paypal with too much money in it. I freaking love this forum!!!

Well now not only have you saved my ebay account you have also made me a fat cat lover. Never knew how legendary fat cats were until today LOL!

Hi Jeff,
Please give me some advise on the following.
I have a Stealth ebay and Paypal account in the Usa. I have been operating using a TIN I got in my real name and paid taxes on it for two years. Two years ago I got the EIN as a LLC but the Paypal account has the original Stealth Name and address. I have been getting payments under the business name.
I got a message in the stealth name (not business name) saying Update your W9 taxpayer information. The IRS recently notified us that a combination of your name and TIN on your paypal account does not match. Please submit W9.
The question I have is what Name do I put on the W9 where it ask to sign. I have my real name on the 1099 when i pay taxes for the account but my real name was suspended from paypal thats why I have the Stealth account. Please tell me what to do. Thank you.
