Question about uploading invoices or receipts

I have to do this as I used a friends eBay / PayPal they have permanently limited the PayPal but left the eBay alone. I was selling vero items
so it seems odd that eBay have not give me any warning. I have sent receipts by fax like they asked me to so just waiting now.

There was an odd situation to this though.

First they sent me an email wanting me to upload the documents, then 2 hours later they sent me another email saying your account is permanently
limited with no option of uploading documents. I then called them and they said that the account could still be unlimited if the invoice / receipts are faxed in.
I done that and just waiting for an answer :boom:

Has this happened to you ? if so were you unlimited after faxing in the invoice / receipts ?

Re: Question about uploading invoices or receipts

What will happen is dependent on what eBay believes. If they believe that you were simply selling brand names, but AUTHENTIC brand names, then the account will be reinstated but you will be watched.

On the other hand, if they believe the items were counterfeit, then it will be next to impossible to get the account back.

If your source is legitimate and eBay can check the receipts, then you have a good chance of being reinstated. But if your source is questionable, then your chances decline considerably. Many people try to claim they are purchasing from closeout/liquidation companies, but the fact is there are NO closeouts or liquidations when it comes to hot brand name items. Apple, Rolex, Louis Vuitton do not do those things because they do not have to. Their products are ALWAYS in demand.

So, didn't my second statement just repeat my first statement? Partially. But the point is, not everyone who sells counterfeits KNOWS they are selling counterfeits. Sometimes, you may believe a supplier is totally legitimate and they turn out not to be.

Reinstate or not the spotlight is now on you.

This is a classic case of the right hand not knowing what the left one is doing. Typical paypal.
From my experience the account will most likely not survive so I wouldn't hold my breath. Even if you do get reinstated you've attracted too much attention and the ebay account can be taken down at any moment.
Id start fresh. Thank goodness for stealth.

Once you have a history with them, it's a lot easier for them to hang your account. Be very careful or just create stealth accounts or buy some.
