is this a given when you have to call into paypal now? they are going to start looking up public records?
last time i did this a week ago (a different stealth acct), they couldnt find public records info, so she asked for my full social sec # LOL

give me a break, i was trying to add a bank account to my paypal and it wouldnt work. so they are looking up public records/demanding full ss# just to add a bank account.

this current stealth account problem i have now is a different situation, trying to make a withdrawal and keep getting "can't recognize your device" phone verify which obviously isn't working

i sent them email saying "hey i can't withdraw, your automated response email didn't work, please help" and they said nothing other than "call our 800 #"

This is popping up even more now and seems like they are putting new measures in place. I have been withdrawing from my pp for months and all of a sudden they are asking to verify via a text or call. The issue is the error msg is saying the phone is not registered to you. Not sure how to resolve this issue.

Definitely seeing this as well. What I make sure to do is have a dedicated phone # that I'm able to re-use if at any point PayPal needs to confirm something.

Just storing the actual phone that was used to create the stealth account, in case I ever have to receive a confirming call/text.

so is this the end of stealth accounts ? if you bought a used paypal ebay account and they confirmed it by phone . now if you want to withdraw theyll ask to confirm it by phone what do you do ?

The Phone Number I use when creating the account always works for me, I made a lot of accounts with Text + , and just purchased the number $1.99 and it renews each year so you can keep the number

And anytime I get the verification I just choose the call option because the App does not accept text, and it has been working on every account

I also use TextNow, net10, and tracFone, they all work as long as it's the number used when I registered the account

I've never had an issue on withdrawing from any of my stealth accounts...never ben asked to verify anything.

You are asking me if i tried virgin mobile prepaids? If so the answer is no, I have not had any accts created recently that did not have the new 21 day hold where you could remove it with verification all of them now are requiring the 150 60 day crap

150 in sales 60 days of sales something like that, business and personal. Someone on the forum tried to say it had something to do with biz or pers but it does not just more "it worked for me talk"

if it was 150 whatever currency only then you must've done a mistake somewhere to get your account suspicious. maybe you tried to force a bank withdraw too often or had some bad attempts on doing things (w/e , acc related) ?

Been getting the "can't verify your device" lately too. What I did was get a real number and add it to the account and have them text me a security code..which mean the phone number is legit. But this will still give me the "can't verify your device" error when I tried to withdraw..in other words, they are trying to do a phone verification TWICE. I had to call them up and explain the situation. They transferred me through about 2-3 reps and then to the SECURITY department... luckily I had a verified bank and cc on the account. I asked to withdrawal only $500 out of the $1200 I had in there. They didn't have a problem with it and lifted my WITHDRAWAL LIMIT right away.
