Anyone recently win a SNAD dispute as a seller lately ?

ive been recently building up a stealth account, pretty sure I've been doing everything they way PayPal wants it done. I tend to call PayPal up every other day or so ( issues with phone verification ( they always comply since I call from the phone number listed)) so I'm not too much of a stranger to them.

*Invoices on everything
*small withdrawals
*call before withdrawing a larger dollar amount
*tracking with everything
*same day shipping

Ect..

I sell car parts off eBay, $500+ part each transaction once or twice a week for almost 60 days. Never had a dispute on this account, until a few days ago a buyer filed a SNAD claim after a week of having them stating "his shop wouldn't use them". I have paperwork from dealer stating they're in good working order as well as an entire album of photos that were listed in the for sale ad.

I took it upon myself to call them up and ask questions and explain what is going on with the buyer and item I sold to him. Rep was extremely nice and understanding, she noticed I've sold the same type of part multiple times without any disputes or refunds.

What are my chances of winning this SNAD dispute?

Very little I believe.

They will tell the buyer to return the item and then inspect it to make sure its not a bait and switch.

But since you are keeping on the ball with paypal, what I HAVE had happen in the past is that paypal will refund both parties to keep it civil. But these were items under the price of $250

I nearly had a heart attack the other day........I sold a $750 sign on eBay and the guy filed a SNAD case on me, after having it in his possession for almost 3 weeks......he never even contacted me, just filed with paypal.......so, I just responded to the case with " I don't even know what the hell this is over".....because I didn't?

I'm sure the guy just tried to sell it at a show or auction or something......didn't have luck with that......so he figured he'd just return it.......well........believe it or not Paypal sided with me!!!!!

Then, the guy appealed, and they gave him 3 days to submit proof that the sign I sent him wasn't the one in the auction (and of course it was)......the 3 days went by and now it is perma-closed in my favor........

in in 12 years of taking paypal, I can count on 2 hands the times that I've won....and strangely, most of the ones I've won have been over $200 or so........

Anyway, I though I'd just report that you don't lose them all, just 99%.....maybe even 99.5%

And I lost the claim!
Pretty excited to receive an item that isn't the same one I sent to the buyer

Yes happens to brick and mortar everyday too. When you are in retail this is how it goes.

No one wins SNAD.

Here's a little story... and it won't be more clear cut than this...
You ship, item has tracking and showed delivered, buyer opened a dispute of non receipt.
You'd think you'd win right?

WRONG.

eBay will still reimburse the buyer... every single time.

That's rough to hear - happens all the time.

It makes me not want to sell anymore since people seem to pull this scam all the time.
Now I'm out $600
