PayPal beacons / images in Outlook?
 

I might of anal probed myself on this one.

I know eBay are sly and use images and beacons to get your legitimate IP. Would it be right to say PayPal do the same, specifically with Outlook? I was being intelligent, but it didn't turn out too intelligent. I wanted to confirm some payments so I logged in my emails on my phone as I'm unable to get on my computer currently, only wanted read titles (subjects) just to be sure, and ended up clicking on an email whilst carrying my phone!

If I did **** myself then I suppose closing the account and starting fresh will be the only option from here on, of course new everything and being even more careful. The only activity here I've done on this IP to be fair is login old limited PPs to confirm balances and the exact withdrawal amounts. Thank you!

As a one off it may be fine. Only time will tell

May want to revert to using yahoo or gmail in the future though.

Agree on the one time issue not likely to cause troubles - avoid repetition

Don't do it again. If your going to check your email on your phone make sure you have disabled images.

I have screwed up at times...not changing IP before logging in and catching it right away and exit the browser. One time occurence probably wont do much....do it a second time and you probably have their attention.
