Leaving the country for a few days
 

Im going to a wedding down in Mexico on Thursday and returning on Monday. I am bringing my laptop to keep up with sales and such. Is it ok to log into my stealth accounts from there without it triggering anything?

You will have issues with 1.) Public IP and 2.) NON USA IP logging into a USA account.

Have you considered teamviewer?

You would access and control your desktop at home using teamviewer. As long as you have no computer troubles, power outages, great option.

Massive chance of being limited at once, if not sooner.

After all the posts you have made in threads about paypal not recognising computers, phones etc, why are you thinking this sort of activity will be different?

Use wemo and TeamViewer and make sure you have a backup in place by a buddy going by to cycle your stuff or a computer backup of all your accts. Your setup determines the best way. How many accounts on how many computers and how do you change ips

Im confused on using teamviewer. I will be bringing with me, my only pc.

teamviwer will not work for you then.
Maybe contact 24vc to see if he has an option that works for your needs in mexico

If its your only PC Teamviewer is not an option.
Teamviewer allows you to control another computer. Since you do not have another computer it is of no use for you.
I myself went to Mexico last month and I had my laptop with me with my other 3 laptops on at home - was able to work smoothly throughout the whole time I was away.

If you are taking your only pc, wemo and teamviewer are out. Your only feasible option would be to create user accounts and setup vps's keeping your old cookies intact.

Maybe I just wont log in. Would tethering my phone be on option or because I might roam, it would be same thing?

Not an option you will connect to a non us ip, if you want to spend a few bucks dial up is an option but you will have long distance bills

And logging in multiple US accounts you have all from the same foreign Country IP, is just a disaster of Flags and even links waiting to happen

OK. It' been established logging into it with their wifi is no go. How else can I do it?

i myself would just take vacation for the days if you can. this is going to be a disaster and an almost certain linking of every account you log into. you can explain 3 accounts having similar IPs in a city that could be a coincidence. 3 accounts that all change to mexico ips at the same time is not normal.

Now that is more complicated lol. Really the idea is to stay away from any major ones. Remember most vps sellers are resellers and they mostly come from the same big providers. VPS is awesome but i think for you a dial up modem and use local landlines to connect to aol or whoever and pay a few bucks your talking very minimal cost probably less than vps's for limited use a few days

Man alive, issues get so over complicated.

My advice in another thread was one that works for me:


email paypal and ask them what you can do whilst you are out of the country for 4 days. Ask if they have any advice as to what you can do????? Tell them you have a cell phone or whatever....

If you have known about this wedding for a while, you could have started plans long before what appears an imminent departure.

When I have to go away, I close down majority of sales. I do as much as I can to reduce problems.

Try an email. That way you have a record after it is acknowledged. paypal do get asked this from others. There's nothing about that you can not have a vacation so long as you plan carefully.

I am starting to get bored at repeating myself.

We run ebay and paypal accounts.

The only difference is they are stealth.

If paypal are aware of a sign on being made from a different IP in a new country, they can accomodate the difference when they know.

WTFudeg is paypal going to do when a VPS with different ip's get used :eek:

We change ips all the time dongles and tethering as long as the cookies are intact zero issues with a vps

Alright, well, I got two private VPN's from someone. I am going to try it on one account and see how it goes.

Common ports are normally installed or pre built in make sure not using common ports

I'm going to bump this thread, because i just moved down here to Mexico......I logged in to a few legit accounts and listed some stuff last night.....no problems yet......

Now, I called e-bay before I moved and told them of my situation and asked, would a Mexico IP cause a big problem with my account??........2 different eBay people, on 2 different calls told me if it did flag my account, all they would do is need to verify it's me, by me calling in.....

So, I'm about to find out if a Mexico ip address for a established US account is a death sentence or just an urban legend?
