instant ID check for new accounts
 

Just noticed this in last few hours, 2 new stealth accounts just created were both immediately limited to 21 day hold/$100 available. Email sent by them at same time as email verification email.

Perhaps someone else can confirm/deny

Have you read the stealth guide? If you follow protocol, you shouldn't be limited

So you can still list items yes? And you only have access to $100 of funds? Or can you only list up to that for the 21 days!, If you can then just keep going with listing extremely low risk items, the 21 days will soon pass and make sure you ship very promptly, get good feedback along the way, see what happens after the limitation ends, if your account is good then you should be fine, they are being cautious as you have no history with them

Yes i follow a pretty strict routine with no issues making new accounts until now. This looks like a new security measure. Either that or I've got a hole to patch. This is a new thing so hoping someone (I guess someone in USA) can verify

I don't use ebay, I didn't do anything with my account other than create it, and as soon as I did I was limited with a message I haven't seen before

literally the same instant they sent off the 'confirm your email address' email upon signup

What did the message say, put some details from it on here so forum can see and advise

no indication how long it is going to on for then, all you can do for the time being is make sure you despatch promptly, deal with any messages from buyers quickly, not much more we can suggest without knowing what platform you are using or what type of selling you are doing
