Interesting article, eBay and PayPal could eventually be bought out by Alibaba, Amazon, or Google, especially if it keeps haemorrhaging jobs and profits!, the mind boggles at the changes AliB and Amazon could bring in!

I have complete faith that GB and other senior members will find a workaround. This forum has been going for what?..7+ years.
They have probably gone thru all manner of changes over the years and i know that they wont stop working to find solutions :-)

There will always be workarounds - stealth constantly evolves

I am thinking it might be better for stealth (at least in the beginning) when paypal and eBay arent sharing information.

Anyone agree? Disagree?

Chances are they will still share a fair amount of info

It would be very strange if they would not share.
I really doubt it will be any improvements for sellers or stealth, most likely it will stay same as it is.

I cannot see ebay keeping up with this momentum without big brother paypal to support them.

I see selling limits going up due to the drastic amounts of sellers just going through paypal for the sales and the like.

I hope it would not be Google, because it is Big brother - Chrome + gmail + ebay + paypal = end stealth

They will always share info. And paypal leaves with NO debt and 5 billion with a B in cash whilst eBay gets left with 7.5 billion with a B in debt and only 2 billion in cash. Paypal will not be bought by Alibabba, but like with fine art, there is always a price.

if I was the owner of ebay I would keep paypal and sell of ebay to alibaba or google. paypal is the only part of ebay making decent money and paypal has a stranglehold for online payments that no one can rival. the glory days of ebay selling are over. it is just living on its reputation at this point which brings it a lot of traffic.

but I am sure if paypal is sold thee would have to be some arrangement that the buyer of paypal would need assurances that ebay will continue to push paypal on its users. so that a rival won't start up.

Lmao if I owned ebay I would not give a crap what happened. Only thing that would bother me would be the world ending or the big C.

It just depends the level of diffculty we will face to keep it going...

I wasn't around when the 1099 200/20000 got implemented but I'm sure plently users at the time thought "stealth was done for"...
