What is the PayPal SSN request cut-off?

Guys..
One of my stealths spiked in sales.

Its going pretty rapid.. the most fast growth ive seen in a stealth.

I know i should know this by now.. but what is the cut off before they ask you for info

$2,500 and how many sales?

I know i should know this by now...

Times are changing rambo3 but most reported last year 10-15K in $$ wise and 130-170 item wise. Either or.

The faster you sell the more items and $$ you can put through an account before the projected sales estimate kicks in.

But I have accounts with around 20K and 100ish items and no tax info asked yet for 2015. Other members on this forum have had similar results so far this year as well.

Really should not be relying only on one account if your sales are so strong OP...

Re: What is the PayPal SSN request cut-off?

Def no relying on this i have back ups..
kind of just experimenting i should say.

This account is not going to pay bills or anything i guess with this account i could afford to have the funds limited if it comes to the point.

I remember reading a thread where someone said you could avoid ssn and send in doc....
is this true?

Not true.

You dont need an SS but an EIN by filing a corp or LLC. This can be done relatively affordable in a state such as NV.

The tax info is an IRS law so no getting around that. The law is 20K AND 200 credit card processed transactions but paypal, up until the last couple months was requesting on projections if you approached either threshold.

Your question is confusing: are you asking if paypal want tax info really?

No, I know they ask for it eventually.
I am saying... now that i can recall...
I had a stealth once that was really doing good, very rapidly and nothing.

No request. No Email. No Call. No limitation.

If it happens in late November or December you can get away with A LOT.

I still would not break both thresholds though.

You dont even need to file a corp or LLC. As long as you have an EIN, even sole proprietor. File for one on the IRS website and get your number instantly.

Can be risky if paypal manually reviews the account.

Paypal can ask for an SSN with a Sole P. and want to match the EIN to the SSN....Corp is still best way.

I could be wrong but if you get an S-Corp Paypal....might not be able to request an SSN, with a Sole P. they can request SSN...but I could be wrong.

I'm trying to find this specific information too. Which type of LLC will be best for PayPal, single member LLC or has to be multiple member so that paypal can't track single member SSN? Anyone knows for sure?

Any LLC is fine or anything other than a sole proprietor(not saying it can not work but it is not best).

Single member LLC has a significant extra tax liability so talk to your CPS/attorney and get a work around for other options.
