Verify Your account, Security check.
 

I bought this ebay and paypal stealth accounts. My selling account is perfectly fine but today when I tried to purchase an Item. It saids " security check, verify your account. We don't recognize the device you're using to continue with your transaction please verify your account. "receive an automated phone call" Since i bought this account i didn't set up the phone number. So I don't know where to go from this. What should i do?

It goes away after awhile. Do not try and change the phone number just leave it and build up more history on the account.

Contact the account seller and get their tips for where you can go next with this, they are always your first port of call over issues like this.

Ah ****. I already tried to change the phone number to my work phone. what should i do. added my work phone on paypal

How do I get PayPal to quote "recognize" the device I am using so that when I am sending a personal payment I won't run into a phone verification prompt?

You need to have access to the phone number used when creating the Account,Mathis is just an extra security measure put in place by paypal a few months ago

It says it doesn't recognize the device but that is just BS, I have accounts that use the same IP, user account, always logged in from the same PC but it still gets this message when adding a Bank Account or withdrawing funds sometimes

So it's just a security measure, you must have access to the number used when creating the account this will save you a lot of headaches

@Dmshark25 I had access to the numbers for the accounts I use. I get a number from callcentric.com and use the express talk program to receive the call and things were fine until a couple of days ago where I would get the call, verify using the 4 digit pin then get looped back to security verification prompt.

Dmshark can you please give an advice how to go around this issue with not recognizing the device? I have the same problem with my PP account. I tried to connect bank account and then it transfered me to a verification page. The phone on the account is not active. I tried a different phone. But this time it would not show the new number, even though it is a primary number on the PP account. Thanks

either contact PP and have them override the issue or just start a new account with a legit number.
