About to make my new stealth PP account and theyre asking for the last 4 digits of my SSN right away including a check box stating if the address in the given TIN is my home address...

So do i give my actual SSN(unused) or give them my LLC/EIN number.. I am using an office storage for the LLC's address..

Is it safe to give said information?

No it is not...but its already in their system so its pretty much there for good.

I am assuming that you opened a paypal business account first?

I would hold off on using that account and make another with a premier paypal and not business.

If you do not know how to run the account and the 'real' info account goes down then you have wasted your info.

The account hasn't been made yet and also have'nt used the SSN.

Although the address related to it HAS been used.
I was wondering if i would be able to use my new EIN/LLC instead of the SSN by making this Paypal Premier account?

If premier, it SHOULDNT ask you for your SSN, TIN, or EIN. BUT keep in mind that paypal can request your SSN at any time.

You would use EIN/TIN once you are sure the account has been stabilized, paypal requests it and generating profits with items you know you can sell without issue or reach the 200 sales or 20k projected mark.

The best turn out is to never have paypal request anything.

Perhaps you should wait before you add an EIN and all that good stuff, you don't even know if the accounts (Ebay/Paypal) will last you longer than a few days yet. You seem to be jumping the gun before the race.

Hold off on EIN/LLC until you see that the account will make it past a few months.

It sounds like you are making a business account from the get-go. It is not a stealth way because the "user" SS requirement.

Best option is to make a person account using your stealth details. When and ONLY when paypal demands tax info when you far and away break the threshold of 200 items or 20K in gross sales do you consider adding an EIN. If you do this, as of very recently, no users SS requirement.

You may never even get asked for it. I have accounts that have gone well past the $$$ threshold that have not had the first request yet. A couple other volume sellers have chatted and have had the same thing. A young man on this forum just got limited after selling 250 items very quickly and he has chosen to add an EIN based on the strength of the account.
I have an account that I expect to get a request because it has sold around well beyond the $$ threshold and will break 200 pieces by Thursday night. This is my worst selling account and I will not waste an EIN on it because ebay throttles the visibility of auctions on this account.

Just sharing this info as food for thought.

Yes for US PayPal at least, but you first open the account as a personal, and than you can switch to business the next day or months later, and they do not ask for your SS#

Open it as personal first, then get some sales going through it before you enter EIN. Would be a waste of a EIN number if you enter it as soon as you make it and are limited the next day.

I use aged accounts so I still had the option ;)
