PP reqesting SS# for limited biz accts
 

sorry if this has already been posted, but i've noticed a few of my business accounts that got limited, paypal is always asking for SS# to verify ID. I remember reading in the stealth guide this is not the case and instead they ask for EIN.

Maybe this is just a new-ish thing, but paypal is asking for both SS# and EIN or "proof of business"


As a part 2 to this post, what is the procedure for making a personal account into a business account later? Is it difficult?

If your Account is limited, than nonsense of forming a business and adding an EINS when you will probably just waste it since odds are always against you of getting an account restored

This is a step you need to prepare for but never enter the EIN until your account is doing well and you are on pace to meet the 200/20K IRS requirement, and once paypal asks for the information you have it all ready and you can enter it than if that's the course u want

You are doing something that is raising serious concerns for PayPal that they are asking for both an EIN and SS# , but this is after the fact of being limited, so you need to address this or it will keep happening

Agreed if you accounts are being asked for this they are done. Even if you provided them I doubt that anything would be reinstated.

I was asking this for a brand new stealth account. Just wondering how difficult it is to change a personal to a business account

Changing personal to business is a matter of a few clicks and some typing. Not hard at all. I always just upgrade my account to premier from the get go.
