Can you refund a buyer more than the sale price and shipping?

why would you want to do something like that anyway?

Buy my own product, with another account, reinburse myself with more money. A possible way to draw out of payprick.

I see some sellers with a "Double your money back if not authentic" policy. Food for thought... I thought of this cause I have a customer asking for refunds on previous old order combined with a new one, throwing two items in the box with a stupid note.

Surely buying your own product will be a loss to yourself as you will need to pay the ebay fees and paypal charges.

Ahh im wrong. once you process a refund your fees get refunded too. clever thinking if it works

but doesnt ebay have a way of finding out if people sell things to themselves (i.e trying to build feedback etc)

Maybe if you go crazy with it maybe. Selling .01, free shipping in large amounts would blow flags but what about random hits with double your money return adds. Maybe in a small way under radar with good chunks of money as a supplement to other things to get that money out.

The answer is no, you can't refund more than they paid.

And any additional refund would have to be sent manually through Send Money, which would raise any standard flags that it would normally raise without that transaction having occurred first.
