My paypal account is verified with suntrust bank but...???
 

I've been selling on a 30/15k since October. Account was established in May. sold a couple items but never verified account because first bank account wouldn't work. Had to eventually send in a creative utility bill. Was then finally able add new bank account from Suntrust. Bank account is of course in my real name. Paypal and ebay are nothing even close to my real name and is in fact a different gender name. I've simply sent all my funds as friends/family payments to my main Paypal account that I've had since the beginning that was never banned. This has not hurt my account at all for this amount of time.

The thing is, when I go to the page that talks about transferring money to my bank account it says the name on bank account must match exactly with name on paypal and it gives instructions where I can change paypal name. I'm scared to try and initiate a transfer for fear of a limitation/ban for 30-day to 180-day hold funds. I'm also scared to change my name to what's on my real bank account.

Are my fears founded? Would a transfer go through just fine since I have my bank account verified and am staring on my statements at the two penny deposits paypal made and retrieved back in November?

Just send the money to the bank. There won't be a problem. Read and search here.

30/15k think you might have mixed up your limits somewhere along the line there surely!

No Rosie, that's been my limit since December. I'm afraid to request higher by any means lol! I know it's supposed to be like 100/15k or something right?

They say that to try and scare people into not using ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names....worked on you didnt it? No, the real reason is because some banks reject mismatched name transfers. Ive NEVER had an issue with mismatched names. In fact think about it this way...paypal deposits two micro payments to verify your bank account. Then they retrieve those deposits. If they can do that, then you can withdraw money. The chances of them finding out your name wouldve been when they retrieved those funds.

On a side note, stop transferring money between paypals!! Just because you havent gotten caught yet doesnt mean it will remain that way!

i would try to avoid making an account in a name with the other gender, simply for the reason that you might have to call in to talk to them about your account at some point.

I went to my credit union and said I am in partners with a dude on ebay and we will be transferring money to my account but the transfer will not be coming from me. Bank manager said and I quote "we do not care where an electonic transfer comes from". So there is really no problem. You link your real bank to your stealth paypal and just transfer. Could not be any easier. OR YOU COULD TRANFER the money to me and I PROMISE you I will send the money to you.

Yes, wtfebay. It did and will until I do it successfully lol! This is like my 5th account so far.

My original paypal that was never banned was made back in like 09 or whatever, it doesn't have that message when I go to transfer money to bank. I think that's a large part of the fear.
