Confirming Mobile

Is there a way to confirm mobile without a contract phone? I realize premium/shortcode sms must be available to do this, but I can't find a prepaid or other solution that paypal will send the code to. Anyone out there know what service I can use?

I've tried tmobile prepaid and google voice, neither work.

Sure, ill give you a hint. It doesn't require a mobile phone. Its actually pretty easy to do once you know.

For those who says you can confirm thru pp, can you at least tell me if tracfones is the right direction? I know right off the bat it does not.

I usually do not add a mobile , but I have 3 paypal accounts that I did and I used a tracfone and received the short code to confirm

It was the tracFones that I made a thread about I think it was this past DECEMBER where they were .01 cent each

I do not see the advantage either, I just use the number that I used with eBay and if it's a VOIP like TEXPLUS or something when I plug it into paypal I just use it as a home or work number so verification is not necessary

And as long as I have access to the number used when creating the account no matter what service it always works if I need to be verified when adding a Bank or whatever action on PayPal

Besides a couple accounts I used a tracfone and received the short code the rest I plug in as home or work

A mobile is not required , they just want everyone to use paypal on there cell phones so they push it, but it's not necessary

For my purposes which is mainly using it With eBay it doesn't make a difference

There's YouTube videos on how to get the code without a phone, you down load some software online and you have a phone on your computer and it's supposed to accept the paypal short code but again there's no advantage for me in doing this

Nah I'm okay. I use to explain my issues with clear resolutions on here to help other members only to be shunned and degraded as if I was someone that can't figure out things. It only took one person to change my approach as to what I info post here. However I did notice this mod tends to like to degrade people low post members and praises any post coming from members with 1500+ post even when its wrong. Also come to find other from others that this mod doesn't even sell on ebay and just mods this forum with info they get from members here.

I do have respect for most of the vet members here though. I believe they are truly the life of this forum.

well I figured it out anyways thanks to the shark.
I find it helpful to sell on a 80% account rather than a 60%

ima give my 60% paypal a shot in trying to sell then.

Re: Confirming Mobile

There's thread about that % thing. Haha don't get caught up in %. All you need is vba & vcc confirmed limited lifted. % means nothing..

Artann 03-14-2015 08:59 AM

Re: Confirming Mobile

Phone confirmation is not that big of a deal. I don't think I ever confirmed it on any. My main pp account is at %60 with no confirmed ph# and this account has no selling limits. I was just curious what was the work around as allegedly gphone and tracphone don't work for this anymore. But you guys turned it into some kind of conspiracy. Some people are just lame.

The thing is I dont even use a VBA.

only a VCC and REAL MOBILE PHONE.

Im going to try to remove the mobile phone from the equation and jus try a "Home" phone.

I know % doesnt matter but thats how I basically can explain it for others to understand

Not quite the current way I confirm mobile, but DM method is a working alternative, if you setup your account right from the beginning.

But if you had some old accounts that you are trying to use or some accounts without access to the numbers used to create the account...

When you try to add a vba and paypal ask you to verify through mobile code and you fail because paypal is saying that mobile number isn't under your name. This is where some people get stuck. Keep looking mate.

My VBA's don't ask those things on my sleeper accounts. Those are the HOT VBA's. Even if I dont have access to the number.

Ill keep getting better mate :yar:

Well actually when I have a 100% verified acct I can cash-out without a bank or credit card or transferring between accounts.

Now that's an answer.....lol. I just wanted to make sure someone had an actual answer that made sense. From your answer you cash out by buying....Gift Cards, etc.

How do you have a 100% paypal acct and NOT have a bank acct attached anyways? I've heard of 80% and not bank acct, but 100% with no bank acct? :noidea:

ally is ally no matter whos the provider.
