New Paypal feature PAD

Paypal is asking me to activate a new feature on my pp account called"pay after delivery". Is this safe for stealth account??

Not sure I would want 'extra' leeway for buyers.

I personally wouldn't do it.

They should just rename it "Give your items away for free"

Re: New Paypal feature PAD

I understood this as an email targeting me as a buyer using PayPal, and it's an option do that I could purchase something first and Pay Later, I don't think it was advertising to us as a seller

Re: New Paypal feature PAD

I would think that the payment is sent to the seller as normal just from PayPal and than the buyer pays PayPal after they get the item

I can't see this as a feature where the seller would need to front any money

Re: New Paypal feature PAD

Its not a new feature...its been around. Furthermore, nothing changes...seller gets their money right away as usual. Basically paypal "fronts" the money then 14 days later, they take it from your bank account. Stupid if you ask me. It has nothing to do with the seller at all, and theres only certain instances where the buyer can use the feature.

I been getting the emails but haven't bothered to even read through them, but I just read through the link that GB posted, and it seems like what I expected

This is a buyers tool, so when you make a purchase there will be an option to "buy now, pay Later" if you choose this the transaction goes the same for the seller, and the seller receives the payment

PayPal basically lends the money to the buyer so on the seller end you won't even notice that the buyer used the option

And than I think they said a week or two after you receive the item PayPal will take the payment from the buyer

I think im going to try this out and see how it works, the funny thing is that I received the email on 2 or 3 stealth accounts that have VBAs attached , I can see this as an option that will be abused quickly and dropped once paypal gets stiffed out of a lot of money

It also says it won't be available for all items , so I bet they exclude all high risk categories like electronics or Bullion

I don't think it has been out even a full year yet, so I'm pretty sure this hasent been around for years

Yes I agree it is a feature for buyers but I use my PP for buying and selling. Mostly selling.

It's been out since 2012 or before that. Nothing new by any means. Although, it was only "fully implemented" in 2014. But if you search around different forums/boards, you'll see it has been out quite a while.

Ok, I thought it was newer because I didn't receive an email about this until around August 2014, and than since I been getting more towards the end of the year and beginning of 2015

Re: New Paypal feature PAD

The option to use PAD has only popped up twice for me across several accounts. Its pointless
