| muzzie | 03-27-2015 08:15 AM | Re: New Paypal with VPN If you buy VPN from a German company, it does not mean that IPs will be from Germany. Moreover, PP can read your regional settings, and still find out that you are from UK. |

VPN can be confusing sometimes, for example you are creating a gmail account and gmail thinks you are in Albania, but you run the IP through a proper IP tracing program and the ip always shows to be where it's supposed to be |
| slokor | 03-28-2015 02:40 PM | Re: New Paypal with VPN You always check the IP address being used by going to a website that will tell you what your IP address is.
Also, it is known that VPNs are not always safe. Especially if using certain web browsers. A relatively new tool called WebRTC can see through a VPN and/or proxy and report your REAL IP address if you use firefox or chrome.
For example - go to 'whoer.net' - that will show you what IP address youre using and youll be able to see if your real IP address is also being leaked. |

| muzzie | 03-28-2015 04:42 PM | Re: New Paypal with VPN If everything is set up properly, then yes, but sometimes companies claim that they are from one country, but the IPs they give away are from other. One of the reasons for this is if a company acquires a big range of IP taken from another company, the GeoIP databases will update their info in some time, and before that GeoIP services can show wrong info. For example, when I bought my network, some GeoIP services were showing that my IP are from Romania, because previous owner used them in Romania. But after some time, services around the globe updated and are showing correct info. Quote:

If youre not using an updated of Chrome and Firefox its usually not an issue. Same if youre using Explorer - not an issue. |
Re: New Paypal with VPN Also if your using a VPN and worried about your original DNS leaking can use a software like vpncheck to prevent dns leaks | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:01 AM. | |
