Adding bank account + phone verification
 

Hi all
I tried to add a bank account today (wm moneycard) to my paypal account. This account is fully verified with a wells fargo checking and savings account already added, plus numerous cards. I got the usual "phone verification" prompt which of course did not work. I tried to add a new number, which was still not recognized. However, I did receive the code from paypal to link my phone to my account, I was just not able to use it for security verification for the bank account. Should I call in to try to have them add the bank account manually? It is not a stealth account per se, just a variation of my name, and I'm confident that I can answer public database questions if need be (I've answered them on ebay to raise selling limits if that helps). Any help would be appreciated.

Known issue.
Youll need access to the original phone number in order to attach the bank account.
Getting the code means nothing to this situation and those verification are completely separate and different.
Others have reported that calling worked for them. Theres always an element of risk involved though. But you seem confident enough to try it so go for it - just be cool on the phone.

I currently don't have access to that phone number, as I sold the phone on ebay and currently only have the sim card with no phone to put it in. Do you know if wm moneycards can be added as a bank account?
