Vanilla Visa to pay for eBay store setup

Is it safe to upload my Vanilla Visa to paypal so I have the funds in there to buy an ebay store account? I currently have a brand new Paypal account with just a couple dollars in there which is attached to a real bank account, but I dont want ebay taking funds from that real account because I don't want them to see a different name attached. Safe to do this?

just remove ebay from automatic bill pay and pay them with a Vanilla Visa every month

when upgrading to an eBay store you need to pay that fee upfront right? or will that just be added on at the end of the month along with selling fees?
