Is it possible to sell on ebay and for your money to go to your paypal without any bank account attached to the paypal

No you will be able to list 5 items before they ask you to verify your paypal by adding bank
bank is vital for ebay

What is a purpose to not add a Bank account in the first place? From my past previous experiences it has always best to have a fully verified PayPal across-the-board too attached to your ebay account before even attempting to list anything

How are you going to withdraw your money then. It's like saying can I run a car without fuel. Eventually the PayPal will get limited you need to add the bank account at some stage sooner rather than later

I ran a paypal account without a bank account for quite a while here in the UK. Although you can't withdraw your funds ( if you want to do that you can make a gift payment to a friend who has paypal) you can use the funds to purchase Ebay items or from retailers who accept paypal.

Nothing like running a car without fuel.
Paypal without bank works fine for a time - but ultimately you do need a bank account

It is because the bank account will be ready in 7 days, And I wouldn't like to wait

i had one account without a bank now for a year and a half, just use the account to buy and sell

Nothing wrong with selling on Ebay without a bank, although having a bank attached is the ultimate convenience. So many ways to spend Paypal money, pay the rent, buy a flight, etc

Yes. It is not something that lasts long term because controls are put on your selling endeavours.

You need to decide on your business plan carefully.


Did you apply online for a bank account and are waiting for the paperwork?

Over here in the UK bit different on that one rsot, when I opened my last account which was Barclays, the account apparently got opened the same day that I went into the bank but I had to wait a week for the appointment to go in to see them to do that. I was given the account number and sort code that day, but had to wait longer to get the online banking pin code, telephone banking pin code and for the actual visa debit card to arrive and then few more days for the pin code for that debit card.

You don't need a verified account in the UK if for example if it's not your main account and you sell a few items per month on it.

I've seen over and over on here people recommending not use this method of cashout.

Can anybody confirm that it's safe to do?

Bad method sending money between PayPal's, so many horror stories listed on the forums

If you are referring to the gift payments then you can do it but not too many, pp get suspicious of accounts recieving too many gifts. But other methods are fine

Not if you are wise.

You do not want to risk your friend's paypal being (already) flagged & you both end up being limited.

A lot of overseas sellers do these transfers, gift payments. Then come here crying when they got limited.

paypal likes variety of transactions... always keep that in mind. ;)

Stealth allows you to have your own pp accounts - don't need to burn/use friend's.

Obviously it needs to be someone you can trust.
My friend has had his ebay and paypal for 9 years and over that time when I've had various ebay and paypal accounts restricted for whatever reason I've transferred my paypal funds into his paypal and he then transfers it to my bank account ( one I cannot use on paypal).

Obviously it's not something that should be a permanent arrangement as it may draw attention to your friend but over the 9 years I've done it dozens of times.
While I was sorting out a replacement paypal account I even changed the paypal payment option on my listings to his account so all payments from my sales went to him.
We did agree at the time that it might be risky but nothing ever came of it.

So there's no reason for you to worry - just don't look at it as a long term solution. Once you have income or outgoings at a certain level Paypal will insist on a bank account anyway.

Just use common sense. Don't expect to send a regular gift payment to the same paypal account more than a couple of times if you don't have a bank account setup and not expect Paypal to get suspicious.

Yes it does carlisle, and longer for the pin code to arrive, but that is only for real visa debit cards, which you won't want to use on a stealth account because it will fail the avs check. You need to get and use VCC the details for which you wil get instantly, you never of course get the actual card as these are virtual cards, you just get the card number, expiry, and the last digits on the back of the card.

You should still be given 10 and 650 limit as thats what I had last week with no bank account attached,
