eBay and Paypal Separating?????!!!!!

When I logged into my Paypal account today there was a message stating that soon eBay and Paypal will be separate companies. What does this mean???? Is this a good or bad thing?

Sharing info can break all sorts of privacy rules but I believe the user agreements of both companies that people have to accept contain clauses that allow them to do this.

I wonder if bay will have other options for buyers to use for payment vs just pp, meaning we have other options instead of just pp.

I guess time will tell depending how much money is lost and made during their split

there's probably a crap load of buyers that are now freaking out, since the change in policy blah blah blah are targeted towards buyers. We all know eBay will change the rules anytime they want when they are losing money

it would be nice if they gave back sellers the option to leave negative feedback for scrubby buyers. Fair game..yeah right

This is old news that has been known for months. Nothing will change, they will still share the same info between each other, etc. If anyone bothered to read the updates, it says right there on the first page:

Process payments, and offer shipping and related services

I read some of the new terms, and they will still share information saying its to protect against fraud

So no one will notice anything different, they are going to,operate the same way in terms of sharing, they probably just needed to word things differently for legal reasons

It gives Paypal a chance to really gain investor money on it's fantastic expansion/profits over the years without Ebay's LACK of growth/profits holding investors back.

In the UK we are forced to accept paypal on every listing.
In the US you have alternatives to paypal but do you have to accept paypal aswell ?

everything is same, just for investors the stock is separated to paypal and ebay stocks. and they have to make separate user agreements for it be official.

but the separation (just like the mayweather pac fight) is about 5 years too late. dont think it'll help the stocks much
