Eb Calling for Fees from PP & Bank
 

I accidentally allowed my eb account to call for fees from my pp account which had insufficient funds to cover the fees. Therefore its called for the funds from my savings account (diff name) and is apparently being paid via echeck. With there being the name missmatch I'm guessing the payment will fail, then what happens?

It will fail and most the time the bank account will be removed.

If this happens then you will need to ring PayPal to re-add the bank account

Could do yes, but it would be wasting a bank account.

Had the same thing just happen, I thought pending balances would be used to pay fees, apparently not. I can view the withdrawn amount from my bank account, also the negative sum from paypal.... though it has not entered ebay yet as payment received.

I cancelled my payment from paypal to ebay - hoping this would stop it from going through

What is the next steps I should take, reading old posts they recommend
1. to make one time payment
2. to cancel the transaction

I have 2.5k pending balance, would like to not lose it

anything helps

In my case, oddly enough, my bank paid it even though the names didnt match.

As long as your bank has funds than the payment will go through, if your bank didn't have enough to cover the fees, than paypal would drop the bank account.

There is an echeck with your real name on it that was sent to paypal , but everything is done electronically, so unless there's a manual review the mismatched names usually won't be a problem

But don't keep paying fees from your bank , since it is mismatched, than there will be a long trail of your mismatched name If there ever is a manual review
