It totally depends on when they run their new list through the IRS approved vendor and what the vendor's response time is. Then, PayPal needs to load their data back into their system. It could take up to 2 weeks, although I would say it is normally closer to one week.
Also, keep in mind, the business name (or your name, if an SNN) must match EXACTLY what the IRS has on file - for example, IBM INC is NOT the same as IBM Incorporated. As long as you entered the name the same way it is printed out on the IRS form, you will be fine. And if there is not a match for some reason, you can correct it and try again. No matches happen a lot, especially for individuals, who need to enter the name EXACTLY as it is on their Social Security Card. |
