| freddyg | 05-22-2015 02:39 PM | PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds Hi,
I wanted to add some funds to my stealth PP account but as soon as I made the attempt they want me to verify.
Is there another way to do this? |
Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds Yes, sell stuff and collect the money into the Paypal. Are you trying to buy something? |
| freddyg | 05-23-2015 09:50 AM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds yes, so I need to fund the account |
| GreenBean | 05-23-2015 09:52 AM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds How old is the account?
Explain how you made it, please |
Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds Fund the account with VCC - verify the account with a bank account |
| CustomerServiceProTip | 05-23-2015 02:05 PM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds you can buy paypal cards at a local store like cvs and add credit to your paypal account. |
| freddyg | 05-24-2015 10:00 AM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds Account is about 6 weeks old. Opend with netspend MC , have a bank account attached. |

Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds Were you given the option of paying with the Netspend MC? (@OP) |
| freddyg | 05-25-2015 06:03 PM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds No netspend option given |
| Dmshark25 | 05-25-2015 11:30 PM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds Anytime you try to add funds to your paypal account by getting any of the many cards at different stores, or from a bank account, you need to enter your SS#
This way your money is always tracked to prevent Money Laundering or illegal funding to terrorist Groups , etc... |
| hodgesdavid684 | 05-25-2015 11:42 PM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds You don't need to add funds to use paypal to shop or pay someone. Just add a card or bank account and you're good to go. In fact, I don't see any point of adding money to my paypal account. |
Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds Agree with hodges - don't need to have your own money sitting in PP account |
| kkoneo | 05-27-2015 12:55 AM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds How about buying eBay gift cards and adding those on eBay while checking out?
Will this option also require him to input SSN? I don't think so. I have a 3 year old account that I run this way and it doesn't have EIN/SSN, it is however confirmed/verified with bank account and vcc |

Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds Using eb gift cards would not require SSN on eB itself |

| korina | 05-28-2015 06:32 PM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds Is it possible to have PayPal account and no SS provided to PP? |
| SilentHill | 05-28-2015 06:34 PM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds yes it sure is. |

| korina | 05-28-2015 06:47 PM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds But they have to send you and IRS a form to pay taxes ? |
| korina | 05-28-2015 06:52 PM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds If you accept Skrill only will you be hit with tax too? |
| korina | 05-28-2015 06:55 PM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds So how they will report you to IRS without your SS? |

| korina | 05-28-2015 06:58 PM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds What about Skrill? |

What about Skrill? | Most likely the same situation, Ebay will most likely track your sales with Skrill and "MAY" want you to report taxes.
If you use PayPal you can sign up for an EIN and provide that to PayPal for tax purposes...OR you can spread your sales across many accounts so you don't ever hit the 200/$20K mark. |
| korina | 05-28-2015 07:04 PM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds So, I should open few PP accounts with a different names and no SS attached? |

| korina | 05-28-2015 07:09 PM | Re: PAYPAL asking for SS#, need to add funds Was mandatory for me, when PP stop accepting eBay payments and requested SS. |

Like I said, you can go the EIN route as well but it's a bit more complicated BUT do-able and it's worked for a lot of sellers on this forum. |
