Getting paid with Google Checkout
 

Ive been using Google Checkout for about 1.5 years now with no problems at all. I got 100% feedback and a pretty high score. Ive mostly sold items that range in the $30-$120 range and had problems getting paid.



I've gotten some valuable items that will fetch me about 300-400 per sale and i cant get a buyer to pay me. Out of the 6 i have sold only one got paid for and noone else will budge without paypal. I am afraid to put in my listing that i dont accept paypal but looks like something i need to do about now.


All you sellers who use google checkout or other merchants do you have trouble selling high priced items like this without paypal?

Also if i were to say i dont want to take paypal what should i say in my listing?

if you write yo dont accept paypal and you dont have a merchant account integrated, your listing will get taken down.

i write that Paypal is accepted but not preferred and that i will invoice them once auction has ended via Merchant account. i also note that if they pay with paypal they may have to wait 21 days (can really deter paypal!!) and that its paypal's fault not mine.. works for me

Tell your buyers they can use the paypal plug-in to pay you through google checkout that might make them feel alittle safer :)

Yeah I like telling them of the paypal plugin.

But it only works for USA as far as I know. I had a Canadian buyer say it doesn't work for them in Canada.

I need a good option as a Canadian seller, selling to US and international buyers (google checkout doesn't work here) that isn't paypal... paypal is driving me insane. I had my limitation removed Thursday, re-limited again today.

So what exactly do you guys write to tell them of the Paypal plug-in?
