Hi,
It all depends on how much your selling whether you want to choose business or individual as the fees charged (listing & final) differ depending which you choose, the costs etc are all available through the ebay help pages.

which is the less riskiest ?
which would i be better off with business or individual? make around £1200 a month
as all my details and accounts are stealth
also what would be the difference between the individual and business ?
sorry about all the questions i just dont wanna **** it up !!

Is that 1200 turnover or profit a month? with individual account you get the first 20 or so listing with free insertion however if you are selling a lot a business acount works out cheaper to run.
all can depend on number of listings and turnover generated.

In terms of risk analysis, both obviously carry a lot as is ebay nature however it more likely to be flagged up if your selling a lot on a personal account - plus IMO you get more credabiliy from customers buying from a business account

its turnover my ebay is limited to 30 lists
so if i click the business option on paypal ...what are they going to want on the next step ?? eg ID bank statements and so on ??

If you are reselling items on ebay as a business then select sole trader as this best reflects reality.

If it's a stealth account then ID and utility bill will be required irrespective of what "type" of account you select.

i clicked the sole trader and followed the steps and entered me stealth name and detail and i got to a page with the following

To help ensure PayPal remains a safer place for all customers to transact, we are legally required to confirm your identity. We will check your name and address with credit reference agencies such as CallCredit, Experian or Equifax. This search record won't affect your credit score.

Please check your name, date of birth and current address are displayed correctly below. If accurate, click Submit. To make changes, click Edit. If you do not want us to automatically identify you and prefer to send or fax us documents confirming your name and address, click Cancel.


any way i have clicked cancel for now ....when they run the checks they will know its the wrong name arnt they ??

It will fail the checks. You then enter the info and let it fail again. You can then upload the require paperwork

It needs to fail 2 times to get the option to upload the paperwork

Once it fails, you need to go to the accounts sales area of the forum where there are sellers who can rectify your situation.

@richie2065 - your getting the OP's question confused with ebay. OP's issue is Paypal. So the 20 free listings etc. have nothing to do with Paypal. But you are correct, if OP was asking to be a ebay business/personal seller.
