Will PayPal know my phone # when I call them?

If so, and if have multiple accounts, so how we can do about this?
Is there any site can deal with this?
Thank you.

Yes they will know your phone number when you call them.
They just love this kinda information....

*67 maybe but i dont know if that works they might see through that. And payphone would work as long as its a toll free # which i belive it is but if they put u on hold for 20-30 mins that would suck and if it was outside and cold at that i would be pissed.

yaw1800 12-15-2008 03:15 PM

Anyone ever tried *67 before?

Savannah 12-15-2008 05:05 PM

Whenever I call they ask would you like to add the phone number your calling from to this account? So yeah they know. I read on another site that star 67 doesn't work but never tried it myself. Maybe I will to see what happens.....

ebaysucksonice 12-15-2008 10:57 PM

i bet they will not sure

Please add your location to your account here.
eBay/Paypal rules vari by country.
Go to your "User CP" and list your location.
This helps since eBay/Paypal Rules are different by country.

Bogus locations are useless and annoying when people are trying to answer your questions.
People don't know if you are in the US or USSR.

Thanks

About 15 years ago in some hacking zine I heard there was a way to disable the 800# ANI system of it seeing your number with the side effect being you are charged for the call. I don't remember how it was done, but it might be possible somehow.

TMiles 12-17-2008 06:59 PM

This has been discussed much before...If you search, look for Modee's posts. I believe that *67 does not work when you call a toll free number...

yahhtrick 12-18-2008 05:26 AM

*67 does NOT work on toll free numbers. I sometimes use a calling card to call them.

Jonas 12-18-2008 06:39 AM

It's not *67, it's some different code, but there is some code or another.

you can just buy and use a new mobile phone sim card whenever you call paypal regarding a different account. need to top up with 10 pounds, but you can always use this credit for ordinary calls. i've got probably at least 10 or so mobile phone numbers by now...

Or virtual numbers ghost your phone to whatever you want it to be.
